Thanks to the generosity of State of the State attendees, we raised $10,210 for Color Cancer for the Carebox program. The mission of Color Cancer for the Carebox Program is to provide free at-home care supplies to cancer patients in need. ColorCancer is an Austin-based nonprofit that launched the CareBOX Program in 2014. CareBOX combines the power of crowd-funding with the simplicity of a registry to help cancer patients in the Greater Austin Area mobilize their networks to get the essential care supplies they need to prevent malnutrition, infection and injuries from fall. The CareBOXes are packed and delivered by volunteers directly to the patient's door! We operate a One for One model - providing those same essential care supplies for free to cancer patients without a network! CareBOX Program meets the at-home care needs of patients of all ages and all types of cancer.

TEC Attendees donated over $3,600 to Skillpoint Alliance!
You and your team truly went above and beyond the call of duty in making Skillpoint Alliance the beneficiary of the TASSCC's annual TEC Conference. We couldn't be more overjoyed! We appreciated the opportunity to speak in front of the assembly to raise awareness of our mission in the morning and afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised to find so many of your members were motivated to make personal contributions throughout the day. But we were even more surprised to have made connections with a dozen or so members who were interested in ongoing volunteer opportunities! Wow -- that is not the typical response we expect from conference attendees.
Thank you so much for helping us to spread your passion for workforce development. It means a lot to us to have you in our corner. And it meant a lot to see several members of your committee working right alongside us during the day to encourage attendees to make a personal investment in our work. Thank you again!
