TASSCC Scholarship FundWho is eligible to apply?Any IT professional from a state agency or institution of higher education who seeks tuition assistance for any instructor led IT-related course or event may apply. Scholarships are for tuition only (sorry, no travel). In addition to TASSCC events, we will provide scholarships for selected DIR, LBJ School, SAO and UT Software Quality Institute (SQI) courses. Scholarship information will be included in announcements for these classes. Information about DIR and SQI courses may be found at www.dir.state.tx.us and www.softwarequality.org respectively. You may also apply for scholarships for instructor led private sector IT classes including product-specific certification classes. Instructions and Application Form 1. Review the instructions for an overview of the process. 2. Complete the application. 3. Submit your application to jmedlyn@cmpmanagement.com and copy your supervisor and designated organization IRM as proof the supervisor has provided the responses to the Supervisor’s Section of the application. Selection and Reimbursement DetailsDecisions regarding TASSCC scholarship awards are made monthly at the TASSCC board meetings. The maximum award is $1,500 per recipient with a limit of $5,000 per organization within a fiscal year. TASSCC will reimburse the recipient or pay the tuition directly to the training agency. TASSCC will not directly reimburse an agency or institution of higher education; exceptions to the reimbursement policy can be made upon request. All payment requests for awarded scholarships must be received by TASSCC within 90 days of the course completion date. For additional information or questions regarding this program, please
