The Technology Leadership Summit targets emerging IT leaders from state and local government and higher education and focuses on the unique opportunities and problems that emerging IT leaders face in delivering services to citizens. The summit provides attendees with a focused agenda designed to prepare them for the next level of leadership.
Today’s CIO's and IT managers, need leadership skills and a network of resources to meet the challenges at all levels of government across the state. The Technology Leadership Summit provides you with skills for leading in today’s fast evolving environment as well as an opportunity to network with colleagues from state agencies, universities, cities, counties and other local jurisdictions from throughout Texas. TASSCC and TAGITM members represent IT Leadership from all levels in government within Texas.
This year's program is designed for emerging leaders and managers at all organizational levels who want to develop and/or enhance their understanding and practice of fundamental management principles in the context of today's challenging environment.
This summit attracts an audience from a wide diversity of backgrounds, experience, and managerial levels who come together to discuss fundamental issues facing managers in today's complex organizations. This summit is highly interactive and participant-centered in a relaxed environment. Instructors utilize a variety of teaching methods to actively involve participants and facilitate the learning process. The program focus is on the practical application of the management principles discussed.
Registration is open to for state and local government attendee only and is limited to the first 50 registrants. The all-inclusive, $565 registration fee covers hotel room (Monday only), meals, all education sessions.
Your registration fee includes one night at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel. Unless otherwise notified, a reservation will be submitted in your name for Monday, November 6. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK YOUR OWN ROOM AT THE HOTEL! If you would like to book an additional room at the hotel the room fee would be $121 plus tax. If you would like an additional room night please email firstname.lastname@example.org in order to secure the negotiated room rate.
A full refund will be given for written requests received on or before October 20, 2017. No refunds will be granted after October 20, 2017. Cancellations must be received in writing from the original registrant to email@example.com. No cancellations will be taken by phone.
Registrants who do not attend the conference and/or do not contact TASSCC/TAGITM via written correspondence during the set window as directed above will be responsible for the full attendee registration fee.
Substitute attendees may be named prior to November 2, 2017 or during on-site registration. Notification of substitution must be submitted in writing from the original registrant to firstname.lastname@example.org. No substitutions will be taken by phone.
