Award Nominations
Do you know of an outstanding person or project that deserves recognition?
Employees of TASSCC member organizations are encouraged to submit nominations for the TASSCC Excellence Awards. TASSCC will present one individual and two organizational awards at the Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas.
State Agency and Higher Education Excellence Awards
TASSCC grants two Excellence Awards each year - one to a state agency and one to an institution of higher education.
The TASSCC Excellence Award recognizes those who have implemented a technical application that significantly improved internal operations, customer services, or communications. Special consideration is given to projects that use leading edge technology or that use existing technology in an innovative manner. Nominated projects must be implemented and delivering services described.
Selection Criteria:
- Significantly improved services or operations
- Innovative application of technology
- Collaboration with other agencies/academic institutions
- Quality improvement and/or cost savings

President's Award for IT Excellence
The President's Award for IT Excellence recognizes individual leadership and excellence in information technology by an individual who works for a state agency or institution of higher education. This prestigious award recognizes an IT manager who has provided outstanding information services leadership to the state over many years. Special consideration is given to those who have played a strong role in mentoring and sharing their information technology experience/knowledge with others, promoting intergovernmental cooperation and collaboration, and supporting the goals of the TASSCC organization.
