Biography

George Rios, who has served as the Information Technology Director for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) since September 2003, has held several positions at the agency over the past 13 years, including Desktop Computer Services Manager, Network Center Manager and IT Operations Manager.  George worked for a number of private sector companies before joining the state including High-Tech Communications, Fisher Controls International and Computer Science Corporation (CSC).   He is a native of San Antonio and moved to Austin in the early 1980’s.  He is a graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Computer Science.
