Ginger’s IT career spans 30 years, beginning as a programming intern with E-Systems in Greenville, Texas while studying at East Texas State University. She is currently Deputy Executive Director of Statewide Technology Service Delivery at DIR. For much of her 21 years with the state, Ginger worked for the Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA). At the CPA, she advanced through a number of management and technical roles including telecommunications systems programmer, manager of data center services, and Division Manager for IT.
In 2005, she moved to the Office of the Attorney General to become Deputy Director of Information Technology for Child Support and in 2006 she assumed IRM responsibilities. Ginger has also served the state as Chair of the Telecommunications Planning and Oversight Committee (TPOC), as a member of the Texas Online Authority and the chair of the Date Center Services Advisory Council. She was the 2002 recipient of the TASSCC Dave England award for service to Texas government.
