Mike Cardwell is the CIO and Assistant Commissioner for Administrative Services at the Texas Department of Agriculture where he provides leadership and direction to the Human Resources, Support Services, Licensing, and Information Resources departments. Since February of 2000, Mike has served TDA in other roles such as Helpdesk Manager, Project Manager, and Chief Computer Operations Officer. Prior to joining TDA, he was employed with St Michael Health Care System where he worked with IBM Global Services on one of the first web-based clinical data repositories in the nation. Mike started his career at Motorola working with networking and radio frequency equipment. He holds a BBA in MIS from Texas A&M – Texarkana.
